I would be numb to murder as art and fiction if I did not value human life. The thrill is because I am horrified. I enjoy the horror because it is imaginary. Like a rollercoaster ride, it is scary without anyone being harmed.
A story or picture of someone real being murdered is nasty… unless the art is sympathetic. The victim must be the protagonist. The art is hateful otherwise… unless utterly ridiculous and meant as a friendly joke.
Fictional characters are NOT real people! They are figments of imagination in the image and likeness of real people.
My thematic specialty is the easy and impersonal killing of anonymous people. The victims are ordinary. Even if baddies, they are not the actual villains.
My Black Death series is black comedy erotica as action-adventure. It is about two very big and black sisters who roam a college town killing white girls with impunity. The murders are not to avenge slavery or to fight against racism. They are sexual and recreational. The antihero protagonists are aroused by the idea, amused by the ease and gratified by the act.
I have written the first five of the planned seven books. The series has fans and they eagerly await the sixth book. I was going to write it… but reality uninspired me.
GOD BLESS THE INNOCENT!
My experiences with death were filled with sadness and depression. When someone is murdered, their loved ones are left in pain and misery. It is the unreality of fiction that makes it otherwise.
ReplyDeleteWar and murder are horrors in reality. They are thrilling as fiction because of the horror... but without the harm.
