Wars are fought between people who would otherwise be friends… but they speak a different language or have a different religion. They may speak the same language and practice the same religion but their leaders are opposing factions.
Wars are fought by those who do not want to fight. They must because their home is invaded or they are conscripted.
War is not the problem. It is the result of problems. It is not because people are aggressive but rather because they are selfish. The aggression is after the fact, always.
The few compel the many to war, but the many are to blame, since the power of the few is the many. As individuals, the leaders are only as big and strong as their followers, except by their authority.
Unlike storms and earthquakes, war is deliberate. People decide to kill other people. They fancy themselves righteous, of course; blaming the victims for the mass-murder.
If you are selfish, war is your fault.
Politics has few players and many pieces. War is a game and the common folk are expendable. Even the important pieces may be sacrificed. The players play to win… and are more likely to die if they lose than their pieces are. TAKE HEED: There is never peace for our sake. It is only because the mighty fear for their own lives.
If you are friendly, war is not your fault.
You are not friendly because you smile and flatter. The treacherous do that. You are not friendly because you look out for your own. Even the warmongers can do that. You are not friendly because you forsake your own in the interest of others. That is betrayal.
Be blind and deaf to the highfalutin so as to see and
hear in all sincerity. Judge yourself with no one else in mind. If there is
peace within, you are peaceful. If not, you are indeed the problem, no matter
who or what is to blame. Solve the problem, not with activism, but as an
individual living among others.
